American Music Studio Lesson Agreement

Tuition:

Upon enrollment we take a single lessons deposit to book your regular timeslot going forward. This holds your time slot on our calendar. When you decide to move on this deposit will be used to give you one last lesson. When you manually pay any invoice there's a box that says "Save this credit card and allow American Music Studio to automatically charge it for future invoices". Please check this box.** We will auto bill each lesson the day that it's scheduled. If you're card isn't on file for processing we'll send the invoice out for payment due that day. Unpaid lesson invoices will have a $5 late/service charge added if not paid before your next lesson. We reserve the right to deny a scheduled lesson if you have an outstanding invoice.

Payment

Invoices can be paid online immediately upon receipt. Cash/Check/Credit are all acceptable forms of payment. Cash or physical Checks need to be brought in person to the lesson. Electronic Checks (preferred) and Credit Card payments are made online through your invoice. If there are any troubles or concerns please call and/or email us as soon as possible.

Reschedules and Cancelations

We send out practice reminders via email and text. Those e-mails all contain a link to reschedule or cancel your lesson. You can freely reschedule/cancel your lesson up to 24 hours before your lesson. When you cancel appropriately you will not be billed for that lesson. When you reschedule appropriately you will be billed at your rescheduled date.

Emergencies

If you have an emergency within that 24 hour period please call or email us. We will do our best to reschedule the lesson; however, we can't guarantee there will always be a slot that matches both your instructor and your availability.

Expectations & Etiquette:

The Studio...

American Music Studio provides weekly lessons at a regular time and day. Your lesson slot will be held as long as your payments are up to date. Lessons may be rescheduled/canceled no later than 24 hours prior. Failure to reschedule a lesson will result in that lesson being lost. We do our best to accommodate our students needs when rescheduling and ask for your patience and understanding in co-ordinating with our instructors’ schedules.

We do our best to provide everything here in the studio that you’ll need for your lessons. We want it to be as easy as just showing up and taking a lesson. You will need your own gear at home to practice effectively.

Waiting room facilities are provided for family members waiting through a students lesson. Various family friendly TV shows or movies may be playing.

The Student...

Students are expected to practice regularly throughout the week. Instructors may advise more or less time spent on lessons to meet certain needs or goals. Lessons progress as you progress so lack of practice will often mean that a portion of your lesson time is spent reinforcing the material of the previous lesson(s).

Please be patient with your development. Music is a very rewarding skill that takes time and dedication.

No open containers (food or liquid) are allowed in the studio. Music gear can be very costly to replace. Capped water bottles are ok, but they may be forbidden if they're not handled responsibly.

Come prepared to lessons. Bring any necessary gear and materials as well as a winning attitude. Out of respect for other students' schedules we can’t extend lessons due to distractions such as non-lesson relevant conversation, bathroom breaks, cell phone calls, etc.

Please be respectful and quiet in our waiting areas. There will usually be a TV show or Movie playing as well as a number of reading materials. Please be considerate of other students and anyone that may be using the waiting areas.

American Music Studio is not a childcare facility. The student or their guardian is liable for the behavior of minors that accompany them to the studio. Children/minors should not be left unattended. If your child is old enough to LEGALLY be left unattended they may use our waiting areas unattended unless an expressed concern is given from one of us here at the studio.

Please don't bring guests into the lesson room. An extra person in the studio can become both a distraction and a liability to both us and you. We do allow parents to sit in on lessons as need be, but one on one is the most effective way we can give instruction in the studio.



**You may at anytime request that we disconnect your credit card from autobilling.
***American Music Studio LLC reserves the right make changes to this contract as needs develop. All reasonable efforts will be made to make students and parents aware of any changes.
